I took advantage of the Monday special at That’s Rentertainment and rented 2 international films. One of which is for one of the modules I’m taking. The other…well, I wanted to watch that film a long time ago, but somehow didn’t get my hands on it. Anyway, I watched the other one last night.

It’s quite obvious why I wanted to watch “Kamikaze Girls“. Lolita fashion~~~ :heart: I have no idea how the title got translated to that coz the Japanese title is nothing like that. At least the Japanese title has some connection with the film. *wonders* Anyway, it was just so exciting to see Kyoko Fukada in those pretty lolita dresses. Her character, Momoko loves the brand “Baby, The Stars Shine Bright“. It’s a famous lolita brand which sells mostly sweet lolita dresses. I would die to get a dress from there or Metamorphose, but it’s REALLY expensive. 🙁

There’s someone on Ebay sewing similar designs from Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, but if you were a true blue fan of lolita fashion, wouldn’t it be kinda embarassing to say that you own a fake? Well, I guess at least owning a “real” one and the rest fake would at least redeem you.

A few years ago, I would not have known who the other lead actress was, but after getting into NANA…yepz, it’s Anna Tsuchiya. The role of Ichigo really suits her since Ichigo is more rough and tough.

The movie has scenes which seem a little far-fetched, but there are certain themes and emotions the characters go through that relate well with what most people would go through in their lives. Hmmmm…I just might use this movie for my movie review for one of my other modules. The movie features my favourite Tommy Heavenly6 song – “Hey My Friend”! 🙂
