Lost Heart

Omg. I think I have found another (powerful) sad song. I’ve listened to it quite a few times, but I guess I never really paid close attention to it. The tune is nice as many Yebles will attest to. It’s handsome oppa boss Yesung’s “Corazón Perdido (Lost Heart)”.

I have no idea why, but today I really LISTENED to it and felt the emotion. Mind you, I do not understand Korean so I have no clue what he is singing. For some strange reason, the song was calm but it held a tinge of sadness. Like I could sit there and let the tears quietly roll down my face kinda sadness. I decided to look up the translation of the lyrics. Lo and behold, it IS a sad song. A break up song maybe? I need to learn Korean to fully feel the words coz certain words/phrases have slight nuances that may get lost in translation.

As I listened closely to the song, imagery of a person running started to pop in my head. Right at the end of the song where the melody changes into something less calm and more forceful (even the singing goes more forceful), it feels like the person stopped running and started to scream into…nothingness. Coz that person was always…alone.

I feel this song can be expressed in modern dance too. Sorry, I’m not a dancer but I can totally see two dancers expressing the emotion through dance.
