flight delayed

Thought that after leaving that darn motel, I’ll be blessed with good internet connection at the next destination. So wrong. It’s still as screwy. It really sucks.

Had a bad day yesterday. Our flight to New Jersey/New York was 9.40am. Flight got cancelled – they said it was due to the bad weather. In reality, it was some problem with the plane engines. The fucked up part was that the next flight they could put us on was at 4pm at the other airport in Chicago. No allowance for the taxi ride there which roughly cost about $50. WTF. :angry:

What to do? Went to collect our checked-in luggage. Had a hard time communicating with the staff since they seemed rather unhelpful. Anyway, we were finally told to just catch our next flight and request for our luggage at the baggage claim area at our final destination. I so knew what was coming. We’ll probably end up with no luggage for at least a day. Yupz, I was right. :angry: They said they will send the luggage later. Ya, I really hope so. Please don’t spoil Christmas for us.

What is it with US airlines? The staff always seem so unhelpful and inefficient when such things happen. The last bad experience was in Nagoya with Northwest airlines.

Anyhow, the temperature here is much higher than in Champaign or Chicago.

The winter trip has finally begun! My friends are such angels, they stopped by the Japanese marketplace at Arlington Heights. I finally got to taste ramen after so long~~~ Ooh, and OOLONG CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~~~ And and…KERA!!! :heart:

The internet provided by the motel (at Chicago) is not free. 🙁 Managed to connect to an unsecured one, but it’s screwy. Keeps disconnecting now and then. No hairdryer in the house though. 🙁 Well, I’ll just have to tie up my hair then.

Last few days have gone by rather slow and lazily. Been catching up on anime watching. Oh oh! My Rozen Maiden manga has arrived! 🙂

Last night was SSA’s gathering. Nothing really to highlight except we played games and had a round of ktv-ing. Talking about ktv, I really miss Cash Studio~~~ I miss the screaming of “1 2 3 4 5 6 7 IT’S BIG NEWS!!!” and Per covering her ears to the ending kiddy lalala part of “NEWSニッポン”. :laugh: Star Karaoke at Savoy has Japanese songs, but the Chinese song list is quite bleargh. Though I wouldn’t mind going there? Company, anyone?

Another random thing, I recently added the Superlatives application on Facebook. I was laughing at some things my friends voted me for.

j-net karaoke outing

This is kinda like a delayed entry. Last Saturday, the J-Net fashion show yukata groups had an outing. It was also like a farewell party for Aya and Akira who are going back to Japan after their one semester exchange here. Had dinner at Mandarin Wok, then proceeded to Star Karaoke at Savoy.

I think they updated the list! I found OLIVIA’s “A Little Pain”. :yay: Sang it with Denise. Yohei was like so high the whole night. :laugh: Aya’s voice is sooooooo sweet~~~ I told her that if my family is planning to stop by Kobe, I’ll visit her.

The session ended quite late. Ya, this is partly why my exams also (in all Koon Seng’s fashion) CUI. Instead of guai guai studying, go party until late late ar… :sweat: But really, it’s not their fault. My fault lahz…

Speaking of OLIVIA, she’s releasing a mini album in February next year. Woohoo! Only thing is I’m kinda broke…whoops… 🙁

This is what you do when you can’t sleep – watch anime! Yea, been sleeping and waking up at odd hours coz of cramming for exams until my internal clock is kinda topsy turvy.

Anyway, the purpose of this entry is to squeal over Yasu’s coolness. :laugh: I loved this part in the manga and didn’t think it’ll really be focussed in the anime, but it did. Omg…this is like the BEST part in NANA (manga/anime). :yay:

Unfortunately, I can’t catch the exact Japanese words Yasu said, but translated in chinese he says…
