Was chatting with Koon Seng last night, mentioned the food I missed. The list just keeps getting longer.

8. Soumen
9. Mummy’s fried rice

Ya, like almost the whole list is made up of Japanese dishes. Heehee… :laugh:

PS: I’m like so sian diao. Feel like hibernating all week.

As usual, when I’m trying to avoid doing something, I’ll be doing 3237287132476 things besides the task at hand. Ok, I promise I’ll sort those photos soon after I complete this week without fainting. 2 deadlines and fashion show rehearsals to see to.

So, the point of this entry is to comment what I learnt about my friends on the trip. Since I live further away, I never really hang out with them and get to know them better. Not to mention that when you hear stuff from other people, it affects how you see others, and the impression formed wasn’t that great.

Yes, so after a night of zhong ji mi ma, truth or dare, and loads of crapping…

Koon Seng:

1. BOSS! Aiyoh, really cannot afford to anger the boss worz. Should have seen his black face. *shudders*
2. Number 1 crapper. Always making me laugh with all his crap.
3. Loves the word “cui“.
4. Loves to suan Jordan. After that, poor kid got bullied by the rest of us. Revenge of the pennies! (inside joke)
5. Official driver #1 and the one who probably killed the poor deer. Poor dear! (referring to the deer)
6. Mr Cleanliness! Shoes had to be left at the room door. Everytime he got onto the bed, had to sweep his feet first. Only guy I know who uses toner. Even I don’t use toner!
7. Talked in his sleep. He denies it, but I’m very sure it was him.

Thung Han:

1. Number 2 crapper.
2. Official driver #2.
3. Glued to his PSP at night. Except when we’re discussing something…
4. Hair has a life of its own in the morning.

Kang Jie:

1. Always worried about studies. Always hounding me about Econs, but what to do, cannot afford to anger him coz he’s my study buddy for Econs or else I can just die for Econs. Thank gawd we had a decent trip with no mention of studies. Ok, a little…
2. Freakingly 色。Do not judge a book by its cover. Hmmm…but then again, all guys are 色…oopz.
3. Snores in his sleep, but not too bad.
4. Usually the earliest to wake up, except I took over that title during the last few days of the trip.
5. Most 随便…considering that he didn’t mind sleeping on the floor.
6. The only person in the group that I usually use Mandarin to talk to.

Jordan:

1. Boy, ah boy. *shakes head*
2. Innocent. Besides Xin Cai, the rest of us were trying to corrupt his mind. All coz the guys saw the Dirty Minds game…haiz…
3. With innocence comes the bullying.
4. Tries very hard to match Koon Seng’s level of crapping. Fails miserably.

Xin Cai:

1. The only other girl on the trip.
2. My official Japanese translator???
3. Lively. Always sharing stories about her sisters.
4. Loves the green skittles. Always digs out the red skittles for me. :heart:

Me? I’m always laughing at Koon Seng’s rubbish. Oh, and I :heart: the Oreo Blender Blaster at Denny’s.

Thanks for letting me be a little わがまま。I think you guys didn’t really want to go to the aquarium, but just went through it without complaining coz of me. Hmmm…was a little disappointed that the aquarium was small, but still enjoyed most of it.

I can’t believe it. I just ordered manga online. Yes, I’m THAT desperate. I can’t tahan the fact that the manga here is in English. I ordered Rozen Maiden. I was looking at all the Pullip dolls online out of boredom. (Ling, it’s all your fault lahz.) I remembered I saw one of the Rozen Maiden ones last year in Japan. I love all the dolls in lolita dressing but they are fuckin’ 10000 yen. Anyway, I read the write up of the story online and thought I’ll read the manga since it seemed interesting.

Next year, I’m going to bring over my manga from home. I haven’t finished reading NANA, 東方灰姑娘 (東方茱麗葉), and 花樣少年少女。I intend to buy 惡魔在身邊 and maybe Death Note from back home. As you can see, most are made into drama series.

Hmmm…I’m definitely more of a manga reader than an anime watcher.

I will post those photos as soon as I start sorting them.

Anyway, the point of this entry is…I think I found the secret to “zhong ji mi ma” and…

Hahaha…I’ve reached Niagara Falls! Woohoo!

Something rather unfortunate happened on the way. Now, I can’t decide whether to feel for the probably traumatized (and dead) animal or half traumatized us. An unknown animal (might have been a deer) had a death wish. It jumped onto the highway and a rather unfortunate us had to be the ones who granted its wish to commit suicide.

VERY LOUD CRUNCH. *car swerves a bit* That was it.

It was only till after accomplishing half of our journey that we stopped to rest and assess if there was any damage to the car. Whoa…not very pretty sight. We lost like part of the car’s bumper (whatever it’s called) and the animal left us a souvenir – a piece of its skin with dried up blood. The amusing part was that we drove for so long not knowing that the animal skin was attached to the door and fluttering in the wind. The not so amusing part was imagining how the animal was in agony, having had its skin ripped right off. *shivers and covers eyes* 🙁

Had the car changed. Luckily the insurance covered the damage.

I was totally stressed out and not having a good day. I had 3 hours of sleep. I was half listening to the TA and choosing my subjects for next semester. Shit. What can go wrong, will go wrong. ADV300 was totally filled up. So was STAT100. ARGH. Was totally panicking coz I didn’t know what else I could take without having the timings clash. I hate it when my plan gets ruined.

Went to see my advisor. I knew it wouldn’t change things and I knew what she would say, but I guess I really wanted to talk to someone about it. I chose IB100 to fill the space. Oh well, some biology would be cool…although I really didn’t plan to take that next semester.

From then on, I kept checking the system to see if anyone dropped ADV300. Viola! Someone did. Quickly grabbed that spot. Still checking to see if anyone would drop STAT100 or COMM264. If both are available, then I will drop EALC120 and IB100.

I think the EALC department hates me after I kept emailing them about getting credit for Chinese. They are not replying my emails anymore. I might have to make a trip down to the office.

This subject selection is killing me. I had everything planned out, but coz of my stupid time ticket which is a little later then some freshmen, COMM264 is totally filled up. 🙁 I was just scrambling to find something else to take up that time slot. Chose EALC120, but not sure if that would fit into the 12 hours requirement for the EALC minor since I’m taking EALC135 already. I emailed the EALC department to check. *crosses fingers*

Wish me luck in the real subject selection tomorrow. I’m going to do it during Econs discussion on my laptop coz my stupid stupid time ticket begins at 8.20am and I have class from 8-8.50am. Don’t want to wait till class ends coz this kinda thing if you are not kiasu about it, sure to lose out.

ARGH. I haven’t even started on my presentation slides for tomorrow’s Rhet presentation.

This is why you must love the Japanese.
