sweet surprise

Photo of the day…

Monday, 7ners held a surprise party for Nad at Cash Studio. I’m glad that everything went smoothly after all the planning and organising. She knew we were sort of giving her a surprise as in we weren’t letting her know where we were going for dinner and all coz goondu Junwei accidentally sms-ed her when the sms was meant for Per. But she didn’t know we were going to surprise her at the ktv. She really thought I had to pick something up for Sis at Chinatown.

I was still kinda worried that she would wonder how come we were meeting so early when all we’re having is dinner. So at the last moment, I sort of covered that up saying that PK needed to go home early or something so we’re having an early dinner. Knowing Nad isn’t easily fooled, was trying to be really careful with my words. Praying hard that JW hadn’t unknowingly let out our secret. By the way, he almost did when Per called him a few days ago. He said “Chinatown” out loud and when Per tried to shush him, he did a bad job of trying to cover up his mistake. -_-|||

I was telling Per that maybe what made my little “show” more believable was the fact that I got lost. Went to Apollo Centre only once and I’m the kind who needs to take notice of the way there or else I’ll get lost next time. That time when I went with Sis and Per, Sis led the way and I was just following so I didn’t really take notice of the route there. Ehz…I’m just bad with directions.

Walked up to the ktv door. Opened it. SURPRISE!!!

Everybody had a fun time. Singing all those English songs which were popular back when we were in secondary school. Some of us singing random Mandarin songs. Hurhur…me “forcing” Per to sing NEWSニッポン and 希望~Yell~ with me.

Didn’t want to leave so we ditched our plans of having dinner at Kenny Rogers in Marina. Anyway, CJ said there was a Swensens at Chinatown Point. Haha…coz of Sis’s member card, we can extend ktv hours for free if the room is not booked after us.

After dinner at Swensens, Per and I met Juliah at City Hall. Talked for awhile before going home just in time to catch the results for SuperBand. Woohoo! Lucify managed to get in the first round. They have always been on the rather “dangerous” side so it was good to have a change.

I keep feeling that these few days seem to be a dream. This very surreal feeling? Like I can’t have a firm grasp of what I’m doing. I end up asking myself at the end of each day “what the hell have you been doing?” Everything seems to be moving too fast. Or am I the one who’s too slow?

nad’s 21st

8th June – Nad’s birthday. お誕生日おめでとう!!! Recently, I’ve been very slackish on birthdays and all. I never post my birthday wishes on time on my blog. Anyhow, I hope you had a wonderful birthday.

My mind is now battling between sleep and actually going through the day’s happenings here. The latter is losing though. I think I should just go sleep.

Ah, maybe before I go… Once again, NewS has taken over my desktop. Massu~~~ Rin-chan actually refers to Massu as my lover boy. Hahaha…she’s so cute.

nijuuichi

Supposed to have a birthday post but was too tired after all the celebrating and all. Anyway, happy belated birthday 剛くんとMandy Mooreと私. I share the same birthday with a few stars. Hahaha…

Dinner with 7ners at Ramen Ten in Far East Plaza. Luckily no showers of blessing again.

People expect 21st birthdays to be celebrated in style. Throw a huge party, invite almost every friend you know, have a blast. But I chose to have a quiet one. Same like the past 2 years? I don’t want to invite people and then they turn up just coz but after that, they probably don’t even remember when’s my birthday anymore. It’ll be even better if someone just surprises me by remembering my birthday and call me up to say “hey, let’s have lunch or dinner together to celebrate.” But I think what makes this year’s birthday all the more memorable would have to be the cake.

Per baked it.   So sweet! Both the thought and literally. Hahaha… Sof told me, but she didn’t need to tell me coz I could guess from the Japanese words on the cake. It was pretty sweet so some of us had a hard time finishing their slice. I personally thought it was a little sweet but fine if I had some water to down after eating it so I won’t get a sore throat. Anyway, I told Sis that even if it tasted way horrible I would still eat it. Coz it’s the thought and effort that went into baking it.

Me doing the famous “手越です!” handsign with my present from the 7ners. It’s a Fossil watch. Photos of the watch further down. The box was specially chosen by Per. She was asking me to guess why she chose that box. I stared at the picture on the box for awhile…rollerskates… Then I figured out why. Confirmed it by asking her whether it had something to do with Massu. Yes. Massu is like a famous rollerskates/rollerblades boy in JE. Thanks Per for putting in so much thought even for the box. *big hugz* Oh…the little tiara is supposed to be passed down to each 7ner for their 21st birthday. Jo having received it first.

My presents for this year’s birthday. It began with the 2 pendants from my grandma. I’ve been wearing one ever since it was bought, weeks before my birthday. It’s a heart-shaped case with a movable diamond inside. The other is 2 dragonflies. Red packets from my aunt and Mum. Mum also topped up my bank account so it would not hit danger zone. Hehe…

Pooh bear! Another tami from Xianglin! She couldn’t get the one from Tomy coz it was sold out. This one’s from Sega but it’s just as cute. Sorry, my fascination for tamis will never die. Thanks best friend!!! *big hugz*

Closer look at the Fossil watch from 7ners. Gotta go remove some links though. My wrist is small.

A pretty handphone strap from Joyce. It can be removed and used as a pendant as well. I was thinking what to remove on my overcrowded handphone but I guess I could also remove each heart and use it as charms for my charm bracelet? Thanks Joyce for the lovely present. *big hugz*

Thanks to Pwen, Cas and Cheng Huat for birthday wishes via sms. Pwen being the first one and all the way from Australia. I  you!!! Thanks to Melanie for her birthday wish via friendster. Thanks to Ling for her birthday wish via her blog. Thanks to my family for making sure I had my blackforest cake. HAH! Sis and I won the battle of whether the fruits in the blackforest cake are blueberries or cherries. Check here if you don’t believe it.

again?!

Oh yea…I burned my hand again. Corn soup again. But hey, 我学乖了。 This time I immediately went to soak my hand and asked for the cream to apply. So it ain’t that bad. This is like my third time getting burnt. The first was the worse. The whole hand was like going to 烂掉。The second time was with the deep fryer basket. Just a line near my elbow. Half the scab is off. Waiting for the other part to be fully healed then can peel off the scab.

I haven’t blogged for some time. I know there’s a lot to blog about but after days have passed, I feel so lazy and blah to talk about it. I guess I shall list the main events and talk a LITTLE bit.

  • Pwen went back to Australia.
  • Jo’s 21st birthday.
  • I hate customers who look down on our job.

How time flies. Pwen came home to spend one month with family and friends. Now it’s back to studying for her. Per and I went to see her off at the airport.

Jo’s 21st birthday party was held in Downtown East. 7ners got to stay over. Privileged bunch…hahaha. The first night was spent playing games on the Xbox. Some racing game and X-Men Legends. Per and I ended up staying awake while the rest were sleeping. Haha…this is like déjà vu. We were the only 2 awake on the bus trip to Ipoh some time ago. Anyway, we finally got our hands on the xbox controllers.

So we played the racing game. Now this is so damn funny. Trust me, the cars weren’t easy to control. Jab the little control to much to the side, your car turns by A LOT. Bang your car too hard, the wheels come off. No kidding. When the wheels come off, you’re totally stuck. No button to press to get the driver out to fix them back on. So the aim of the game was whatever happens to your car, DO NOT let the wheels come off. The first few moments were tragic. We had to restart the game a lot. Trying to control our laughter in the wee hours of the morning. This was truly where the abbreviation “rofl” (rolling on the floor with laughter) described the total situation. So instead of racing like we should be, our mission ended up being “Whatever you do, don’t let your car wheels come off.”

I think I am like the WORST driver. So reckless. Look at what happened to my car…

Let’s just face it. I’m crap at playing arcade games. Which is also why I don’t like playing arcade games. HAHAHA…

The day was spent with Jo unwrapping her presents from us and doing forfeits. Her presents from us were a little tiara and 1000-piece Noah’s Ark jigsaw puzzle. We wasted no time in starting to piece the puzzle since it would hold more meaning if all the 7ners pieced it together. Hmmm…although 7ners was not complete since Pwen and CJ weren’t there.

Night came. The real celebration. No BBQ. Jo’s aunt cooked the food which was good by the way. But Jo was so busy running up and down trying to settle the food and stuff and trying to spend time with her guests which consisted of relatives and friends.

Per and I didn’t stay for the second night.

No big celebration like that for my 21st. Maybe I should spend the whole day sleeping. HAHAHA…just kidding. I don’t know. I guess it’ll be spent like the past birthdays. Once with friends, have a meal together that kinda thing and then once with family whom I have forced to buy me a black forest cake. HAHAHA…

Now for the third point. Recently I served 2 office ladies. They were at the next counter looking at the menu, trying to decide what to eat. I was serving another customer. When I was done, another couple who came later stepped up. I was about to tell the office ladies to come over since they were there first. Before I could say anything, one of them said in an annoyed tone “We were here FIRST.” So alright, I served them FIRST.

The whole time I was taking their order, I could sense this unfriendliness in their tone. The message that was given off was like they think they are so damn superior just coz they are working in a comfy air-conditioned office while we are stuck in a hot and greasy place and we earn a measly pay. What? Don’t treat us like we’re some lowly shit ok. Like we’re some insignificant organism. Whether we work in a posh place or a crappy one, we’re all the same. We’re all HUMANS. Just like a sweeper or a labourer, I wouldn’t look down on them. Without them, who else is willing to do the job? Anyway, the (crap) ladies had better believe in karma. What goes around comes around.

All I gotta say is that this job teaches you patience. Many times I’m like rolling my eyes (which is damn unhealthy) and holding myself back from spitting out some words which ain’t going to sound nice. It’s so fake. You have to act so nice when yet you’re raging inside and you just want to reach across the counter to slap that person.

coming home

[edited on 10 Dec at 1.13am]
I forgot to mention that I called Per to bug her on telling me her flight home so that I may go see her at the airport. Looking at my clock which registered the time as 4+pm, I did the math…which would be around 8+am in UK and decided Per should be up since breakfast is supposed to be served around 7+am. A sleepy voice answered the phone. Oopz…I woke her up from her nice little snooze. I know she won’t be able to get back to sleep then since she mentioned before that once she’s woken up, she can’t go back to sleep.

So sorry dear…

Per is coming home soon~~~ Yay!

Pwen is home!!! Yay!

Why is episode 9 of 1 Rittoru no Namida downloading SOOOOOO slowly?! Can’t bear to wait. The previous episode was so freakin’ sad. You try to put yourself in each person’s shoes and you feel the pain of that person. Like how the real Aya said, she saw the effort put in by her classmates to give her a good farewell when she had to leave the school for medical reasons and she felt touched. But what she hoped to hear was “Aya, please don’t leave.” Everyone knew that that day would come, it was inevitable. But yet all she yearned for was a simple sentence.

And now I treasure my life so much more…

a little worried

[edited on 30 Nov at 12.07am]
Managed to get Per. The girl called me coz she saw snow. *blink blink*

I’ve done up the banner for the new layout. Now editing codes and getting the css ready. And it’s time to sleep already. *wails* So soon?!

*does the Akira “kon-kon” thing*

Per called me and Sis last night but we missed the calls. I tried calling her later with the house phone but she didn’t pick up. Messaged her but till now there’s no reply.

Getting a little worried… *slaps the bad feeling away…PAH!*

one month

Right now am waiting for the time to come. Waiting for that call from Per that they have left their home to come pick me up. Per is going to UK for one month. I’m seeing her off at the airport.

*sigh* One month of no Per… Who am I going to exclaim to when I get high over Massu? It’s like watching a movie by yourself. When there’s something funny and you wanna turn to your friend so both can laugh together, you realise that you can’t coz you’re alone.

Oh well…hope you do well in UK. All the best. *hugz*

pink is my favourite colour

Oh deary me…I forgot to blog about yesterday. Until I read Jo’s entry…

Met up with 7ners yesterday…not all, just Per, PK and Jo. Actually Per and I met up a little earlier as she had stuff to buy. Talked to Hiromi for quite some time in Mise. Per was a little frustrated over not being able to buy the Kanjani8 poster and tour pamphlet. Yea…if only I could get my hands on the NewS tour pamphlets…

We also had a little Uchi (and perhaps Yasu) birthday cake in Coffee Bean. Ok, we shared a mud pie which was a little too dry. Bleargh. The texture was like gingerbread?

Then the time came to meet PK and Jo. We had dinner at Cine at this little restaurant called Galilee. Ermz…I’ve been there before. Price wise, it’s quite ok. But the food quality is just so-so and at times CMI (can’t make it). I had beef ball spaghetti. And the beef balls were…dry. How come everything I ate was dry?!

After dinner, passing of presents. Per and I got the 7ners bags and biscuits from Japan. But our plan was to do it lucky draw style. Each bag was of a different pattern. There was one particular bag that we knew PK would want very much. Simply coz it was pink and she LOVES pink. You should have seen the expression on her face when she picked her present (which wasn’t the pink one) and then we told her about the pink bag. Haha…and we wouldn’t let her have a peek at it.

Met Sof at the hotel next door coz she was there for Up’s DND (Dinner and Dance). HAHAHA…she got the bag PK wanted!

Hmmm…actually the pink bag’s really nice and sweet. I believe Per’s right to say that most people would want it. I would have wanted it too but I already have one and the pink colour doesn’t match the colour of my yukata. Well, both are pink but the bag’s a light pink and my yukata is darker pink.

righting the wrong

Met up with Nad for dinner. We talked quite a bit. I realised that I have misunderstood her. I am not going to say that I’m ashamed of coming up with such conclusions coz whatever I had in mind was also for her good. It wasn’t like I was about to murder her or something. But glad that I talked to her coz that’s the only way to right the wrongs.

For now, I’ll like to wish her good luck and that we *I’m sure all the 7ners* will support you as you go along. Helping you, advising you…

OMG. I have a ton of clips cluttered on my desktop, all waiting to be watched. And I’m desperately trying to position them so they won’t cover any of the NewS members’ faces *my wallpaper*. Still have backing up of entries at diaryland to do. Finished quite a bit…about half? Then there’s getting my PVs/MTVs all listed down. Too much to be done and all I’m doing now is “grabbing” whatever clip there is available for download.

away for the weekend

Realised I haven’t blog in awhile.

Was away in Ipoh for the weekend. Per’s mum couldn’t go so they had a spare bus ticket. I was quite surprised that Mum allowed me to go. This is after all my first trip with a friend.

The whole bus ride there, Per and I were the only ones awake and talking. Haha…

Didn’t buy anything there for myself. Although I did see a pair of shoes but pity they didn’t have my size. Well, ok I did. Just some munchies for the family.

Oh shucks! I just realised I haven’t called Singtel to cut off the auto-roaming for my handphone.

Anyway, I’m busy working my main blog page. More or less everything up. Just a bit more and the total backup of all my blog entries here.
