What started as drips soon became a constant flow of water. From my room, it sounded like we had a mini indoor pond with a fountain. Then, it started leaking at the end nearer my room too. Luckily, the ceiling in my room didn’t leak, but feel so sorry for my neighbours down the hall. They had to tahan a drippy ceiling in their room for the night. Maybe everyone prayed hard enough coz the downpour stopped later in the night.

I’m having a rather snowy Chinese New Year (eve). I told you the weather is crazy. Yesterday, it was a thunderstorm. Today, heavy snow in the early afternoon.

I have a really fugly bruise on my foot now. My foot’s kinda swollen like as if I have water retention. It’s not painful…only at certain parts near the ankle when I press. I can walk almost like normal…I mean normal, but with more care. No sudden turns or whatever.

Ok, hope you guys enjoyed your reunion dinners. I’m trying hard not to think about it coz I will think of all the good food I’m missing. My reunion dinner is dorm food. Blah ah. Hmmm…it’s 大年初一 back home already, so HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! May you receive lots of ang pows with lots of moolah. 🙂 May you tahan cheesy chinese new year songs wherever you go for a few more days. :laugh:

Weather’s been a little crazy. Right now it’s raining heavily. Although back home, thunder and lightning is common when it rains, if you hear thunder here, it’s surprising. The rain is so bad that the roof is leaking at my dorm. Well, at least not outside my room, a few doors down.

Yesterday, it was pretty foggy. Like as if someone just poured water into a huge bucket of dry ice.

I swear I didn’t photoshop the photo. It’s taken from my room. I apologise for the faint grid, it’s the window netting.

The botak tree looked nice in this setting. Looks like from some mysterious/horror film – the dark dark woods or something. :laugh:

bad karma caught up with me

It’s all about karma. I must have been talking bad about people too much…

I was leaving YMCA, where the SSA Chinese New Year dinner was held, missed a step and landed at a wrong angle. I’ve landed on wrong footing a couple of times, but usually it’s nothing, just a slight pain at the moment. This time, I heard a crack sound. Shit. I knew it was gonna be bad.

Yea, my first time spraining my ankle. 🙁 Now, I can’t “gloat” when people tell me they have broken their leg/arm/whatever and I haven’t had any major mishap.

I feel like a major inconvenience to everyone. I won’t say I’m fiercely independent, but I’m used to doing things myself. I try not to rely on others too much, just don’t want to be an inconvenience to anyone. So, it’s kinda weird having people fuss around me. I had to be piggy-backed back to my dorm by Koon Seng. It’s no joke to have 45kg on your back. Chun Ming had to carry my huge ass bag and a (stinky) boot. Well, the whole gang had to go over to my dorm instead of going back to theirs. Worse of all, Koon Seng was with me the whole time when he had to study for a mid-term on Monday. I’m like SUPER 最低!

I’m so irritated. I can’t do things the usual way for God-knows-how-long. It’s like a major upheaval to my life! I have to take extra time to go to class next week. Freakin’ hell, I have to take extra time to even walk to the loo. Someone please give me wings or a teleport machine. 🙁

I know Per’s going to say “dear girl, can you please take care of yourself?” That’s what she said the last time I got that huge ass bruise on my finger. I guess I’ll be fine…irritated, but fine. Contradictory, but whatever.

Thanks to everyone who fussed over me. Gosh, I’m feeling so bad now. I’m so so sorry…

it snowed and snowed

Everyone was hoping that school would be cancelled. Haha, fat hope.

It started snowing pretty heavily last afternoon/evening. There was a snow storm warning. We were told to expect at least 10 inches of snow. Yepz, there really was A LOT of snow. Thanks to the guys who stayed up all night shovelling snow off the sidewalks. They really made life a lot easier especially when I had to walk all the way to the engineering side today.

I love snow, but not when I have to walk from Transportation Building to David Kinley Hall in record time. It’s no longer a pretty winter wonderland when I can’t walk at my fastest speed and have to take extra 5 minutes to make my way to class. It’s already annoying on normal days that sometimes I feel my body wanting to move along faster, but my legs are not cooperating.

Anyway, just to let you guys see the amount of snow…

I hate you, iGoogle. You bluffed me. You said that there would be a thunderstorm yesterday. YESTERDAY. Yet, half of me was wet when going to class just now. Umbrella? NO USE. I was left cold and pissed off in Lincoln Hall.

Came back to the dorm. Looking forward to a nice, warm bath. What did I get? More cold water. Damn it. I’m seriously pissed off now.

I need a big hug to cheer me up. *pouts*

I just did the craziest thing. I cleared 7000+ credits. Coz I downgraded my meal plan so from next week onwards, my cafe credits are 1500 per week. To save my present credits from being forfeited for nothing, Koon Seng said I should clear it all. He offered to keep some stuff in his fridge. Thanks~~~

Clearing 7000+ credits is crazy!

I got:

  1. 2 bottles of coke
  2. 4 bottles of vanilla soy milk
  3. 4 bottles of chocolate soy milk
  4. 2 bottles of apple juice
  5. 6 bottles of V8 drink
  6. 2 cups of raisin bran
  7. 2 cups of apple jacks
  8. a packet of potato chips

Still had credits to spare for Koon Seng and Kang Jie to get some stuff.

I finally got my barcrawl tee~~~ LAST semester’s barcrawl tee to be exact. First, Denise said she had to check out with Kaz for my tee. Then, she forgot to bring it to the meeting. So yea…I only got it at this semester’s AGM.

I didn’t exactly go the barcrawl coz I had an exam that night and the next day, but got the tee anyway. I wouldn’t say that the tee is as nice as previous ones, but it’s still cute. How can Mario not be cute? By the way, the tee is HUGE (even though it’s a size S).

And I just realised I haven’t blogged about what I’m taking this semester and how’s it so far. I’m just L.A.Z.Y. :laugh:

School is starting tomorrow. I hope I won’t be too lazy this semester.

Last few days have gone by rather slow and lazily. Been catching up on anime watching. Oh oh! My Rozen Maiden manga has arrived! 🙂

Last night was SSA’s gathering. Nothing really to highlight except we played games and had a round of ktv-ing. Talking about ktv, I really miss Cash Studio~~~ I miss the screaming of “1 2 3 4 5 6 7 IT’S BIG NEWS!!!” and Per covering her ears to the ending kiddy lalala part of “NEWSニッポン”. :laugh: Star Karaoke at Savoy has Japanese songs, but the Chinese song list is quite bleargh. Though I wouldn’t mind going there? Company, anyone?
