Our (Per and I) donnamonya has come alive! Back then in secondary school, we kept one. It was on paper. Now Per has continued by email. うれしい~~~(Per, did I use the word correctly?)

What is donnamonya? It is like a discussion about anything.

Haha…I’ve changed my MSN avatar to the screencap of that Honjani episode where Kanjani8 (minus Ryo and Uchi) have to try their hand at cooking Italian food. It’s the screencap of Ohkura and Yasu…damn funny. Ohkura burnt his finger and said the hair’s all gone!

So no more 大阪レイニーブルース Ryuhei. Haha…but I made a handphone wallpaper with that pic. I told Per that I hope when we go to Samsung Fun Club’s birthday bash, they’ll give freebies like more fun club points. So can make more wallpaper for free. Ok…not really free coz I have to pay for the GPRS to download them into my handphone. What? You think I’m going there to see Taufik? Haha, I’m going there to be a freebie monster.

This Wednesday is also JCG’s AGM. This year I think it’s more special. They intend to have some games like the yo-yo fishing.

flipping through the papers

Been fixing my blog bit by bit.

Yesterday I was dying to share my thoughts on 2 issues but Sis was using the computer and Per was busy.

I was flipping through 2 days worth of Newpaper just to read about the body found at the river. Anyway, in the newspaper, there was also an article about that Singaporean girl blogger who recently got (in)famous by posting nude shots of herself on her blog.

By the time I finished reading the article, I was rolling my eyes. What she commented sounded like she really didn’t want the attention. But her actions showed otherwise. Stop contradicting yourself. If you think you enjoy basking in all the attention given to you, then just admit it. We all want a little attention sometimes, even I do. Well, let’s just say it reminded me of someone I knew.

Flipping through newspapers and magazines these days can be quite a “traumatic” thing for me. For one, they like to publish tons of chatline advertisements along with it. So much so that I wonder whether I’m actually getting my money’s worth of news and articles.

Anyway, that’s not the point. The point is that these chatline advertisements use pictures of Japanese stars. What? You think I don’t know is it? It makes me feel like they are just out to cheat people. Hell yea. Maybe they ARE out to cheat people. Some lonely bugger (as what CJ terms these people) out there sees your advertisement, thinks they can talk to such a pretty girl or handsome guy, when maybe all you can offer are average looking people. Hey, isn’t that how sex predators look for their prey? Someone pretends to be some good looking person when in actual fact he is just a pot-bellied, 40-something year old man with a receding hairline.

So far, they have been using the Morning Musume girls. Alright, these girls are around the legal age. Then I see a Berryz Koubou girl?! What the hell. She’s just about 12 years old! Ok ok…not to kick up a big fuss. But what else do I see? Akanishi Jin from Johnny’s entertainment’s KAT-TUN?! *fumes*

Per told me before that Johnny’s entertainment is very particular about how the pictures are published. Unless it is a magazine or website approved by the company itself, no other magazine or website is allowed to publish their photos. Even if say one of the Johnny’s boys act in a drama and there is an official website for that drama. They can put up every other actors’ or actresses’ photos except that Johnny’s boy’s. Hello. They have to make money ok. If not, why do they sell tons of official photos?

So…these chatline companies had better watch out. If they get caught, they could be sued…it’s really a deep shit situation we’re talking about here.

Wednesday, met up with 7ners to celebrate Nad’s birthday. Belated celebration. Had dinner at Secret Recipe in PS. Moved to Istana Park to cut the cake since Secret Recipe has some strict rules about no outside food.

Today (Thursday), accompanied Per to ICA building coz she needed to have her passport done up. After which, she came over to my place to watch yesterday’s finale of “Eye For A Guy”.

It was so obvious Denise would choose Wolfgang. I believe she’s the independant woman kind. I believe dark, mysterious and romantic guys are more of what she would go for. Whereas Howard seems to be more suited for a sweet and cute girl. Someone who enjoys the attention showered on her. No doubt he’s sweet and all but not good for an independant woman coz she would need her space sometimes and he’ll probably want to stick to her always. So much so that she might find him a bit annoying at times. Like a shadow.

Haha…I haven’t watched any of the episodes but I talk like as if I’m some expert. Only read their characters in 8 Days.

After watching that, Per wanted to watch the NewS dvd together with me. So we watched it. Haha…got to see Masuda saying “Mickey. Kawaii.” again.

Oh ya, recently, Per sent me the links to read the translated Myojo November 2004 NewS articles. It was this 1000 question thingy.

Of which, YamaP said he’s willing to wait a maximum of 2 hours for his girlfriend (if he had one). This led me to discuss with Per that I wouldn’t wait THAT long for my boyfriend (if I had one). Maximum 1 hour. Unless I can walk around somewhere and see stuff then maybe slightly longer. And he better have a good reason for being late or else he’s DEAD. But if it’s the other way round, he better not ask me for a reason. HAHAHA. Nahz, I’m not that bad lahz.

Then I went on to say that it’ll be good to have a relationship where both of us can walk together, holding hands and not say a word to each other but we both know what each other is thinking. That simple. No whispering of sweet-nothings. Nothing. But yet we are so close to each other as to know what each other thinks. Well, it’s definitely not happening now so that’s why it’s called a dream/fantasy. HAHAHA.

Per told me that Ryo said that he has a problem waking up. I said, I wouldn’t mind it if my boyfriend is like that as long as he admits that he has a problem. I wouldn’t mind giving him morning calls. But he better wake up after my morning call, if he dares go back to sleep, he’s DEAD. But if he admits he has a problem and then PROMISES he will change but doesn’t, then I’ll get mad. Coz it’s one thing to admit a problem but another to make empty promises. I rather he just admit his problem and FULLSTOP. Unless he promises to change and I do see that he tries then I may be more tolerant.

Oh. And one more thing that was discussed. When I’m angry or irritated with someone, that person had better not come and ask me something while I’m fuming, add some wisecracks or something. Because I will think you are just trying to act so damn blardee cute. Just let me fume then cool down. Actually it doesn’t take very long for me to cool down so if you’re smart, you’ll just leave me alone for awhile.

Haha…Per wanted to keep all this for our Donnamonya. I said “Wah! You want to keep this as proof for my future boyfriend is it?” So, yea…potential guys ar…you know who to go to for the extra tidbits. Haha…I say all this like really 不要脸. HAHAHA.

Haha…I rarely tell all coz can’t really trust a lot of people these days. But it feels good once in a while to let out how I feel.

Haha…looks like I will still be blogging here for some time since I haven’t figured out WordPress fully. Haven’t even finished with the header. But you can expect someone’s face on it. Hahaha…you should know who by now.

Had a wonderful time today. Met up with Xianglin. Had a really full meal at NYDC then we walked around. I’m so sad to say that the Japanese section in the music stores are getting smaller and smaller. I couldn’t even find one Kanjani8 single anywhere. Anyway, we talked a lot about what’s happening now. Feeling nostalgic about the past. Agreed that a lot of things have changed.

Walked around Kino a bit while waiting for Per to arrive. By then Xianglin had gone home.

We flipped through the latest issue of Kansai Walker to check out on natsu matsuri and the fireworks festival. After which, I had dinner at the omu rice stall AGAIN. Can’t get enough of it. She talked about the clips she downloaded of Kanjani8.

Went to Heeren to check if any shop sold the Pony shoes she wanted. Passed by Mise S*Clusive. Started talking to the salesgirl (Hiromi). She knows so much about Johnny’s artistes. I received the information I needed regarding the Johnny’s concerts. The 3 of us just talked on and on without realising that time was really flying past. Hurhur…actually it was more of her and Per talking while I’m just agreeing or disagreeing. *sheepish look*

By the time we actually stopped talking and left, it was past 11pm! We talked for like past an hour! But it feels good to talk about this kinda stuff so freely.

Laughed on the mrt about some message that was played in the station. Hahaha…coz she said that the tone often determines how people will react. Like if someone said “Earthquake!” in a terried and hurried tone, people will definitely scream and run. But if you changed to a calm tone, people won’t be as panicky. So we were thinking, what if the voice at the station said “The last train has just left. Good night and get lost. If you don’t go home, it’s not my business.” And I added “Otherwise you can jump off the platform.” Per added “Always wanted to fly?” I added “Now’s your chance. Good luck!” I think if I heard that, I’ll be shocked for a moment and then start laughing uncontrollably.

I never really bothered to check out what the lyrics meant until Per told me that I should because it’s such a sweet song. She explained one part of the chorus to me while I guessed the other part of it.

And it was only yesterday that I found the translation for the song in a fansite for Tegoshi. It may not be 100% correct but the main gist of it is there.

Haha, I don’t think the subject and this entry goes hand in hand but it’s for fun. It’s like a continuation of subject titles from the last post.

Why is Masuda, sunshine boy? Just look at all the PVs and concerts with him. He’s always smiling away. Per says she doesn’t know what he’s so happy about. Hahaha.

Anyway, I can use my computer till the wee hours of the morning again. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee…

I am curbing myself from going out too much coz I really need to save some money after spending so much at Mise S*Clusive.

Sis is going mad over Uchi from NewS. She thinks that the takoyaki boy we saw in Osaka is him. Well, we didn’t get a good look at him coz…it is RUDE TO STARE. But I think, he is quite pleasant looking. And since Uchi is from Osaka…she said maybe in the day he goes to school and then Johnny’s work. At night, he helps out in his father’s takoyaki shop. And why all this nonsense? Just coz she saw him eating takoyaki in the dvd. -_-|||

Grandparents have gone home to Malaysia this morning.

This has become the associative few words whenever NewS is mentioned. I remembered vaguely that it was in the first NewS vcd. Then Per kept reciting it at the chalet. And now it’s permanently stuck in my head. It was only about a week ago that I discovered the phrase was in NewS’ “NEWS Nippon”. *big smack on forehead*

Also, commented on the J-music forums about my feelings after watching the dvd that came with NewS “Touch” album.

I need a translator desperately!

Heez…this is like another entry on NewS but I really can’t help it.

I know that it’s hard for people to understand my liking for Japanese stuff unless they like it too. That’s why I’m thankful that Sis and Per are big fans of Japanese stuff as well. So I can talk all this stuff and know that someone understands my liking.

I really want to blog about my trip but everytime I find myself not having enough time to really sit down and think through. Partly coz computer time is now shared with Sis (until her computer is cleared out and reformatted) and partly coz my grandparents are around so we can’t hang around too long in the study room. They sleep early.

I’m back from pandaland (as Per calls it). Yes, China.

My mind is in a whirl now coz I realise I have tons to keep up with since the past 2 weeks of being offline. TCGs to keep up. New songs to download. Emails to look through. Blogs to be visited. Updating my own blog. Getting my photos in order so they can be printed on time before grandpa starts hounding everybody. And not to mention the J-music forum where I get my daily dose of Japanese stuff downloaded from.

There’s lots to be told about my trip but I’ll save it for the next entry. Right now I shall just say that it was wonderful meeting up with Per and Pwen yesterday. Checking out the yukatas, tees, shoes, hats and caps at Bugis. Per decided to try on almost every cap or hat on me but it was kinda the wrong day since I tied up my hair and my ponytail was in the way.

Then we went to the mickey shop. Trying to find the same mickey cap Masuda picked up in the NewS dvd. Had a light snack in My Secret Garden while waiting for Pwen to knock off from work.

At last, Pwen arrives and we settle down to show her some stuff we found. Had dinner at Pasta Mania.

They headed for home. I headed for Orchard to meet Sis and Desmond. Bought some stuff at Mise S*Clusive. 2 uchiwas! One Aiba, the another Masuda. They are having this sale for certain items. Buy one get one free. Yay~~~

not easy being a star

Recently I’ve been collecting pictures of Morning Musume in kimono/yukata. Coz I think they look really pretty in it.

Well, since we are on the topic of MM pictures…

Newsboy cap! And it’s 2 of my favourite MM members.

Then there’s this. I like the track suit. Ermz…that’s the point. It’s not about the MM member who is wearing it. Oopz…no offense to Kamei Eri fans. Ok ok…I’ll say something good. She looks better with short hair now.

Been downloading some MM clips as well. Anybody who dreams of being a star. I’ll tell you now, it’s not easy. Watching the girls getting scolded by their dance and vocal teachers. Almost to the extent of getting insulted.

And the new generation members ought to thank the pioneer members. I think they really paved the way for the future generations of MM members. MM started out with 5 girls. Tsunku challenged them to sell 50000 copies of their first single within 5 days else MM will cease to exist. The girls had to do everything themselves. Put up posters in shopping areas. Give out flyers on the street, dropping them in mailboxes. Liasing with media companies. Now, all the new members have to do is just audition and wait to join. Or like what Per said, “show their pretty face”.
