It has always been a mystery to me how the group’s name is spelt. Biyuuden? Viyuden? V-u-den? Vu-den? Anyway, they are like the answer to my non-stop grouses on why no Japanese singers are willing to come to Singapore. Of course, I know that Singapore has a very small market compared to Taiwan and Hong Kong for Japanese music.

So finally! V-u-den (shall go with whatever’s on the poster) has reached Singapore. They are here for the Japan Music Fiesta 2005 Singapore. It is held tomorrow at Mediacorp TV Theatre. And we’ve got tickets!!! *waves the tickets in the air* Saw the advertisement in i周刊 about a week or two ago. Quickly emailed to try to get tickets and we (Sis, Joyce and I) got a pair each!

Someone in the Jpopmusic forums posted up photos and clips of them in the airport. Only thing was that the person filming sounded like she was having an orgasm. I guess she was just too excited. Haha…she should have watched the clips and edited out the embarassing sounds before posting them up.

Even if the whole of MM aren’t here, I think I’m contented. Oh really? Haha…I hope that one day NewS or Kanjani8 will come to Singapore. Yea…and I will probably be trampled by a million fangirls. In the meantime, I can just dream on…

The day’s activities for me was just going to a cooking class. Actually I’ve been to one before but I sort of wasn’t interested in cooking then. Now’s different. Anyway, please do not ask me to cook for you yet. Let me try out first…I don’t want to poison anyone.

Oh gawd. I forgot what I wanted to blog about. I was just fiddling around with the comments for the previous entry a minute ago and now when I settle to blog, I can’t remember what I wanted to say. Dory syndrome is acting up again. *faints*

Per sent me clips of NewS in Taiwan. This was when they released “NewS Nippon” not long. Gawd, I always crack up at the last part of that song. Coz they do this movement where they touch their forehead and then point down slowly. It so looks like they are giving the “LAME” sign. Which kinda fits coz that movement IS lame. And WHY IS YAMAP WEARING SHORTS when everyone else is wearing long pants?!

Sis and I went for a job interview today. Well, if everything goes well, we’ll get a job at the TM Mos Burger outlet. STOP IT! DO NOT give me that questioning look on why the hell am I working there. I know everyone has that “Why are you working there when you are a poly graduate with a Diploma in Internet Computing?! So wasted!” look on their faces now.
1. I want to be a slacker at the moment but tell me is THAT possible?
2. It’s only a temporary job. Why the hell are you freaking out? I’m the one who’s working here, not you.
3. If after reading reasons 1 and 2, you still have that stupid questioning look on your face, then 3 words “Go to hell”.

Since I already filled the form and submitted it, I shall not regret my actions. But seriously, I did consider working in the coming Comex fair. Was wondering if Ling got any lobang. Anyway, if I get the job at Mos Burger, it’ll be a part-time job. So I still got some spare time.

Talking about spare time, I hope to go study Japanese. I can’t freakin’ understand the clips I watch now…ok, maybe only 1% of it. Also, I hope to learn to cook. *sigh* At this age, I should be able to cook. All I can do now is cook rice, fry omelettes and heat up can food. I should think that all females should learn how to cook so they can cook for their families next time…and prepare bentos for their loved ones.

Went down to Orchard. Brought home some goodies from Kino and Mise.

Just as I posted earlier, I got settled on recording the aho dance which took me some time coz I don’t know why but the recording thing gave some problems. All I heard was static after recording. In the end, I just cut out that part of the clip and used a program to convert mpeg to mp3. So there. It’s on the radio blog now. Haha…next time when I’m talking to you on MSN and I start doing the aho dance, you know what music I’m dancing to. I recorded it using MSN Messenger Plus but I realised that not everyone can hear it unless they have the program installed.

After all the hassle of recording, I wanted to go Maple-ing for awhile. Darn. I guess it must be Singnet’s problem again…had no internet connection. Got fed up and went to buy dinner.

Ok…settling down now…I’ll share about this year’s Natsu Matsuri at the Japanese School.

Made a point to be early this year especially since we couldn’t get tickets from JCG. The obi tying took awhile again but not too bad since we had some practice in Osaka. Joyce, Sis’s friend, joined us this year.

Reached there around 5.15pm and already there’s a long queue for tickets. Nad and JW reached a little later and joined us in the queue. Tickets were supposed to start selling at 5.30pm but we waited for almost an hour before the sale started. While in the queue, there was this Japanese family in front of us. Their son was sleeping peacefully (and drooling) in his father’s arms. It got so hot that he started perspiring as well. Poor kid…but not to worry coz Per dabbed his perspiration with a piece of tissue.

The minute we got the tickets and got in, we queued for food. You have to do that coz the queues are very long and food gets sold out very quickly. Already when we got in, takoyaki was sold out. Unbelievable!

We couldn’t catch any yo-yos coz the queue for the game stalls was crazy. So freakin’ long. Anyway, I got a shot of the goldfish catching.


I was wondering if anyone thought of this or yo-yo catching for TP’s CCN day? It’s really very fun and popular.

And as usual, there were performances. Taiko performance, hip-hop dance performance… NYP did this dance using excerpts of NewS’s “Teppen”, Kinki Kids’ “Velvet no Yami” and Arashi’s “Sakura Sake”. Omg…the minute “Teppen” played, I was wondering whether they were going to really follow all the dance moves. Nope they didn’t. The only problem was that they should have faded out each track instead of just cut, stop, next track, play.

Yep, the last part was the traditional dances. Bon dance. Xiu Wei, remember this? HAHAHA. Everyone joins in the dance.

Too lazy to post about Natsu Matsuri now. Maybe later…after I record the aho dance tune and a bit Maple-ing. Don’t bother to ask me to join your little party now coz I’m still at beginner level, stuck on the beginner island, trying to train “Miuna” (my character’s name) to be a better fighter. Stupid me just realised yesterday that I could increase the levels for strength, intelligence blah blah… 5 points for every level up. And all along I was wondering why some people reached like level 8 and they could attack with over 10 points of damage with each strike. -_-|||

I’m beginning to like a few Ai Otsuka songs. After a persistant “I so don’t like her, she sounds so baby-ish”, it has now become “I like some of the songs, but I still don’t like her”. Really. I think her voice is all too high-pitched, sounding like a little girl, laced with sugar and spice and all things nice. For now, I like 2 of her songs most…”Sakuranbo” and “Kingyo Hanabi”.

I need more space in the house! Can’t find a good place for my hidamaris. I took out mickey and minnie. Don’t think it’s good to keep them in the bag for so long. So 4 hidamaris…can’t put them in front of my monitor (original placing for Mr Pink and Mr Hana), they’ll block the monitor a little.

So I cleared 2 stacks of cds under the window for them thinking that that would be a good place coz there’s a good amount of sunlight. Hmmm…thinking again, not a good place. How come our curtains have to be so long? I have to stuff in the excess among the rungs of the window. And in the long run, that place collects the most dust.

2 stacks of cds…brought them out to organise in the cd towers. Realise I have no more space! What am I going to do? My room is equally packed. Oh dear… I need a freakin’ big cupboard to keep all my magazines as well.

Per sent me a clip of the news report on Kanjani8’s new single and PV. Ryo looks happy in the PV. Although it may be just for the PV but at least he’s smiling again. Ever since the Uchi incident, Ryo hasn’t really been smiling. In magazines, he’s just got this sad look. In concert photos, he’s just got this sad look.

The PV’s looks kinda crazy. But it’s without Uchi…*sigh* The last part’s cute. The part where Ryo yells “Sukiyaneeeeennnnnn!”

Sukiyanen is kansai-ben, no? Which is actually the same for suki desu.

So when Ryo exclaimed “meccha iyaya~~~!“. It’s actually “meccha iyada~~~!” in regular Japanese. That means “I SOOOOO don’t want!”

Talking about clips…I absolutely love the one where KAT-TUN and Kanjani8 act out romantic scenes. Especially the Marux2 combi. You can imagine what it’s like with Aho (Maruyama). I tell you, I really couldn’t stop laughing. Laughing so hard till I had to bang my fists on the arm rests of the chair.

Introduction of new songs…
1) Lene Marlin – How Would It Be
A new Lene Marlin song. It’s kinda stuck in my head at the moment. The whole song is like this big “if”. If this thing happened, how would it be like? I kinda start to think all sorts of “if” questions and start to wonder how would it be like then.

2) NANA starring Mika Nakashima – Glamorous Sky
Aha! I know Ling loves this song. Sung by Ozaki Nana (Mika Nakashima) in the movie. Still looking for the other song in the movie… Ling is really rubbing all her love for NANA over me.

3) NewS – Yume no Kazu Dake Ai ga Umareru
Yet another NewS song. One of my favourites. If I had to choose the top 5 NewS songs, I would choose “Zutto” as first. Then this song. Then “Cherish”. Then “Love Song” (I know it’s YamaP’s song lahz…) Then “Koi Yake”.

4) Sonim – Asunaro Ginga
The PV *promotional video* for this song is so sad. There’s a blog entry on it…here.

I can’t believe I just cut something off my Myojo magazine. Some more it’s the one with NewS on the cover. Ling, you must kowtow to me 100 times for the NANA poster I cut out for you. *kidding* No lahz, you were just lucky that the back wasn’t…
1) NewS or Massu…coz I WILL WANT IT!!!
2) Kanjani8 or Ryo…coz maybe I will want it and it will be reserved for Per if she hasn’t got that copy.
3) KAT-TUN or Jin or Kame or Uchi…coz Sis will want it.

I re-read my previous entry to see what’s so Korean-y about it that Ling said I’m into Korean stuff now. Oh…the vcd prize? Haha, let me get this straight. I’m not crazy over Korean stuff. Just happen to like certain shows or certain singers. It’s not even like one quarter of my liking for Japanese stuff. HAHAHA…

So I met up with Ling and Xiu Wei today. We had (a super late) lunch with Mr D. Coz Ling…ahem ahem…was late as usual. I passed Ling all the NANA stuff I collected for her plus the poster. So I guess she’s thrilled with her stuff now…haha…

Rushed back home to go down to Orchard with Sis. Meeting Joyce for dinner. Dinner was at Pepper Lunch in Taka. The irritating thing that happened was a waitress kinda telling me how to cook the food. I know that the staff are just being nice, telling people how to go about cooking the food. But I think the way she said it was a little offensive. I was just pouring sauce over the beansprouts and making it cook faster while exclaiming to Sis that the beansprouts must be of top priority when cooking the food. The waitress saw it and went over saying “You must cook the meat first. Spread the butter and cook the meat. Then pour the sauce.” What the hell. I like to cook it this way…why? Cannot is it? I know I can’t really cook but that does not mean I’m stupid ok. I have a reason for doing my way. Beef can be eaten half-cooked. But lightly cooked beansprouts are not ok. They taste like grass. Not that I’ve tasted grass but you know, that green-y taste. And who’s eating the food? I’m the one. So tell me why can’t I cook it the way I want?

After dinner, went to Mise. Sis collected her Uchi uchiwa. And…*gasp* the Massu uchiwa is gone! The one from the Spring concert. Sold off! *sobz*

Per is kicking herself over the fact that she might have had a small chance of getting tickets for Kanjani8’s Zenyasai concert that was on during the time we were in Osaka. *sigh*

Hehehe…completed downloading 3 subbed episodes of Dragon Sakura. Signed up as a clubbox member so I can enter certain clubbox sites. Took some time trying to fill the form coz it’s in korean. So back and forth between the form and another open window with babelfish. Per told me later that the site has an English form. -_-|||||||||||||||||

Anyway, greedy me decided to download everything I could which meant that I got quite a few clips for Massu’s, Tego’s and Shige’s radio programmes. Now trying to download Kusano’s… This is to make up for the times in Japan when I wanted to tune in but could not coz either we came back too late or we’re in the wrong region. Self-denial…

So I spent the day going down to Ang Mo Kio to pick up my vcd prize which I had no idea was what. I join too many contests ya… I was familiar with the place to pick up the prize. Practically opposite my (ex)SIP company. So I stopped at Yio Chu Kang mrt station and walked the familiar road from there. It’s almost a year since I finished my SIP in that company. Now, I’ve graduated from poly already. How time flies. I wanted to message my (ex)colleague to guess where I was but then I realised that he has left the company already.

But I must say, I also hated the walk. It left me perspiring till the whole of my back was wet. I HATE having my back all wet!!! Such unsightly moments…bleargh.

Oh by the way, the prize was 2 korean movie vcds. “My Brother” and “Who Are You?”.
